Whole30 Week 4 – We’re almost there!
I hope everyone had a great week. This week has pretty easy Whole30 wise, I’m not really craving anything, and I’ve felt better than I did during the first 3 weeks. The finish line is in sight!
Normally, after the 30 days of Whole30 you go into the reintroduction stage – slowly and methodically reintroducing food groups to see how they effect you. This is a critical and huge step in Whole30; you want to know how different foods effect you going forward so you can get a sense of what foods are “worth” it in your food freedom. As I’ve already completed one Whole30 and know which food groups effect me (dairy and I don’t get along but some times it’s “worth” it to me, and I’m not really a fan of most non-gluten grains so for the most part I don’t bother eating them) I won’t be doing the reintroduction stage this go around. This Whole30 was to help my body remember what eating whole, real food tastes like and how it makes me feel, and to help rein back in my sugar dragon, and to get my year started off right.
Jeff is planning to do reintroduction, and if he does I’ll have him give you guys an update! Below is the last full week of strict Whole 30 meals. Jeff and I keep lunches and dinners mostly Whole30 in general, but I’m excited to add some over night oats, bagels, and toast back into my mornings and to mix up my snacks.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday = Omelet
Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday = Egg bake
Monday = Left over spaghetti squash with chicken and pesto
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday = Salad
Thursday, Sunday = Fried Rice
Saturday = Left over spaghetti squash with chicken and marinara sauce
Monday= Steak with cauliflower rice – The steak didn’t turn out amazing but it was still pretty good.
Tuesday= Coconut milk chicken with peppers, onions, and green beans. I really love this one! The sauce was a little thinner than last time we made it but it was still really tasty.
Wednesday = Salmon and pesto with veggies
Friday = Sword fish sheet bake with veggies
Saturday = Peppers, onions, chicken sausages, and the left over marinara sauce
