The Team, The Team, The Team
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Jeff and I were back in Ann Arbor for the weekend with a ton of friends to go to the Michigan v. Minnesota football game to celebrate our 1 year anniversary (of course Jeff and I choose to spend our anniversary with 100,000 of our closest friends)!
The trip started with Jeff and I flying from NYC to Detroit on Thursday. The flight was smooth and I got a chance to start a new ARC I was given by Net Galley, Tess on the Road by Rachel Hartman.
We meet up with Karly and Ross for Dinner in Detroit after we landed. We ended up at Bobcat Bonnie’s for drinks and food. The place was great and we had a blast… we had so much fun no one took a single photo.
After dinner we headed back to the airport to pick up Dante! We had a ton of stuff in the car for the tailgate so we had to squeeze him in. But we made it to Chris’s house all in one piece!
We ended up playing a round of Euchre (which Dante and I won!) while having some pumpkin beers.
Friday morning we were up early to grab breakfast from Afternoon Delight (an old favorite from our college days!) and spent some time walking around campus (with a stop or two at the M Den). We also met up with some of our other friends who got into town later in that day. We hit up Zingerman’s Deli and a few bars.
After a great day in Ann Arbor, Chris, Dante, Jeff, and I hit the store to stock up on everything we would need before the tailgate the next morning.
We then hit back up Charlie’s for a few more drinks before we hit the hay to get ready for a full day of tailgating and game watching!
Saturday started out with a big homemade breakfast before loading up the cars to head to Michigan’s golf course for some tailgating! It got a little wet, and there was some lighting and a little hail but everything cleared up in time (well, almost) for the game!
We had a blast at the game and were so happy Michigan won and were able to keep the Brown Jug another year!
After a great day we headed back to the bar for a few more drinks before calling it a night.
Sunday started out with a not so great time. It was also parents weekend so every place was overcrowded with people. After finally getting some food, we hit the M Den one more time before grabbing donuts and ice cream from Washtenaw Dairy before killing some time at Charlie’s before everyone had to fly back out.
Jeff and I didn’t fly back to NYC till Monday morning so we meet up with his family for some dinner/pizza before ending our weekend!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great week!
